W.O.W. – Wild Over Whitetails! WOW is the official AWA Young Sportsman Mentoring Program. If you are interested in being part of this promising program as a mentor, chapter director, coordinator or helper with a certain age group please contact Dot Rhoton at 423-323-3215 ASAP. If you're a member that cares about the area youth's involvement in the outdoors and want to contribute your time to this new program please let us know. Be sure to check the AWA website for current updates.
There will be 4 age groups. Fawns- 4-6 year olds, Spikes- 7-9 year olds, Fork Horns- 10-12 year olds, 8 Pointers- 13-16 year olds. Each age group will have age specific activities throughout the year. W.O.W. is designed with the family in mind. It is not a babysitting service. The A.W.A. has prided itself on family participation and this is just an extension of that tradition. Parents and guardian are urge to participate together.
Please support the WOW program as a sponsor by donating money to help defer costs of the program. It will be greatly appreciated and our youth will directly benefit from it. Just send your donation to: WOW Director, 637 Ridge Dr. Piney Flats Tn. 37686. Your contributions will go toward such things as the pizza party, disposable cameras, art supplies, gift certifications, awards, prizes for the youth etc. Thank you ahead of time for your contribution. Special thanks to Kent Steadman for the pizzas and Jerry Griffin for the donated Phipps Bend items. If we have missed anyone here please know that we appreciate you for what you have done.
